Operation Final Cobra

They’ve brought our ship down. Sent the armada after us. The fate of us all rests in the hands of five fresh rookies and three of our wounded veterans. Yes, even the veterans are pulled in for this mission, it’s all hands on deck.

Gris returns to active duty earlier than planned.

We hold the line against the first wave. There are grave losses, but with our entire combat force deployed we are not beaten yet. For now our primary concern is keeping the aliens away from the ship. If they gain access to the headquarters they will permanently disable the power. Our saving grace is that the aliens are hellbent on accessing our ramp. We use this to lure them into our killing zone.

Feels like game over man, game over!

We cannot sustain this rate of mortality. We decide to gamble everything. Two of our troops will skirt the perimeter. The aliens are using a spike beacon to hold our headquarters captive. If we can destroy the spike we should be able to lift off and evacuate. The remaining forces will keep the oncoming forces busy.

Wiseberger’s well placed grenade yields two for one.

Unfortunately, the aliens were wise to a plan like this. A small contingency of guards prevented us from stealing victory from the grip of defeat.
